Loading maschine jam controller editor5/27/2023 ![]() This can be used with other MIDI devices, not just synths. I am developing a little computer software that can route controls form the NI hardware to a Synth save the synth internal variables, do some cool lighting in the control as a response to changes on the keyboard, and some other fun stuff. Please contact me via PM if you are interested on selling such a unit. The differences can be seen in NI Controller Editor software (See the image attached.) I apologize if this comes to you as disrespectful I am currently looking for a Maschine Jam - 4 (The last of the versions produced by NI before discontinuing the product.) This last version has several controls that can be illuminated via MIDI earlier versions don't have this capacity even though the hardware looks identical from the outside. some features are basically there already maschine 2 is as close to a proper daw as you can get ,the things which let it down are the arranger page its a real pain too use and your constantly hitting brick walls especially if your used to using cubase.īut what maschine 2 does excell at is beat creation and insperation ive got mpc software and hardware but its much quicker to use maschine to create also sounds better than mpc2 which i dont know why but to my ears the beats always sound more production ready.Īlot of people ive spoke to concerning maschine software who are put off by it or dont like it just havent given it a chance.ive told them to stick with it and watch some tutroials on youtube theres some brilliant ones (watch jef gibbons hes brilliant)Īnd as for maschine 3 only time will tell when it will come out but hopefully it wont be too long weve waited long enough. Even after that: Current state of Maschine is more than enough to make music for years to come.Ībout the Snapshots: It’s a nice idea but as long as i can’t sequence the changes from the Maschine it’s quite useless for me.īUNGLE i was only saying a daw because from what ive read on other forums and private chats maschine 3 will be a proper daw from what ive been told itll feature things which are in bitwig and live. I will hang to mine as long as it’s supported. Have to respect NI for still supporting MK1! It’s from 2008 but still 100% working. Sure, i would love to have proper audio tracks, but i could manageri that from controller? Only way for Maschine to stand out is the controllers. It would be nice the options would also popup in the Maschine screens.ĭAW world is very crowded these days. Ok, Jam requires the computer screen on some things and that is a bit buzzkill. I do 95% of my music without AY controllers with just mouse and keyboard. For me the whole point of Maschine is that i don’t need to use mouse. ![]() If they ever moved away from this sort of design i’d stop using it.Me too. The main reason i’ve made so much music with Maschine is not having to look at a monitor or use a mouse. Yup i’m one of the people that wants everything to be available from the controller. ![]()
